DIY Fourth of July Flower Crown

This is a super quick and easy Fourth of July accessory that you can make yourself in no time at all! You can also use any color of flower or ribbon to make a crown for any occasion!

All you need are the following supplies (we gathered in one trip to Hobby Lobby):

  • Ribbon – any kind/preferred thickness
  • Hot glue gun and glue
  • Your choice of fake flowers
  • Flower trimmer

Step one:

Measure the circumference of your head using the ribbon. Add four inches that will be used to tie the crown around your head.

Step two:

Depending on what kind of flowers you purchase, you may need to trim them down to a comfortable size. We left about an inch of the stem still attached!

Step three:

Begin gluing the flowers to the ribbon. It can be helpful to develop a pattern. We alternated between the red and blue flowers. We also faced all of our flowers going the same direction!

Step four:

Let the glue cool before tying your new flower crown around your head. This is the MOST IMPORTANT step! Don’t get too hasty wanting to try it out, Elizabeth almost had the crown glued to her head for the rest of the summer because she didn’t wait.

Hope you all have a fun and safe Fourth of July!
